Kula Excavation Co. was founded by Tyler Thompson after years of working for some of the best contractors on Maui. Having worked in many different fields in the construction industry Tyler brings a comprehensive perspective to his excavation work. He knows how to look at the big picture and carve out the best uses for a parcel, considering every aspect of a plan. Kula Excavation Co. goes beyond land clearing and rock work and approaches every project with a designer’s eye in order to highlight the best features of your property.

Tyler was born and raised on Maui. He has an innate sense of how to utilize the best of what a property has to offer and approaches his work with a respect for the land and what makes sense for a certain area. He has a personal passion for native plants and restoring the island’s native flora which he loves to incorporate into his work when applicable.
